Black Equity Alliance (The Alliance) is a not-for-profit organization that actively supports and strengthens Black communities and under-served neighborhoods in New York City. The Alliance strives to achieve economic and civic equity for Black New Yorkers of all ethnicities by promoting economic development in Black communities. and by supporting non-profit leaders of African decent.

NYC Collaborative for Fairness & Equity in Philanthropy

This group consists of representatives from organizations led by and serving African American, Latino, Asian and Native American communities and foundation representatives, working to engage the NYC-area philanthropic community in a conversation about foundation diversity, accountability and transparency. This work is taking place in the context of a national conversation that was sparked, in part, by the Greenlining Institute's efforts in California and a more recent report entitled Criteria for Philanthropy at its Best by the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy.
